Iran has clearly been allied and pushed for SCIRI and Hakeem, and any unrest in the south will clearly show the limited support of Hakeem and loosen whatever grip they may have thanks to US and Iranian support. As the clashes of the past few days have shown, Hakeem's men can't take Sadr even with the backing of the fire power of the UK and US, and even though Sadr has not unleashed the full force of his supporters. <BR/><BR/>I also don't think Iran would ever back Sadr against Hakeem, even though that might be the advisable thing to do for a variety of reason.
